Hike to Hell Roaring Lake

This morning Stanley was thick with fog. So the family hung around the cabin a while. I wasn't sure what the plan was so I just made sure I wouldn't get left behind!

Here's the cabin view after the dog burned off.

Today's hike in the Sawtooth mountains was to Hell Roaring Lake. It was a great hike. Less whining from my sisters.

This is me sitting on a floating log where we had lunch at Hell Roaring Lake.

This is the rock we found to take a nap on in the warm sun.

This is the drive back to the cabin.

This is me sacked out after the hike.

Last day in Sawtooths

Runnermom tried to get me up early. I burrowed under the bed and refused to get up. I was still on Pacific time after all!!

My sisters weren't overly spunky either as you can see.

This is the view from the cabin once I got my dog butt out of bed.

We played at Alturas Lake. It was beautiful. Best of all the had a doggy beach with no other dogs but me (just the way I like things).
Here's a video of me at the beach.

My flight home

I was happy to be heading home. Going through that crazy airport security and laying down in my flight bag is stressful. But I was ready to get back to Rosco Twiggy and my Pa.

Running Saltese

It's been a while since we ran here in the early am. The flowers are different from early spring. It felt good to get out and move! And at Saltese you always have to run fast to outrun the ticks!

Another great winter run

Today was another great run at the mountain.  I did flip out a bit at a group of scarey 20-something female snowshoers.  RunnerMom had to come pick me up because there was NO WAY I was running past that creepy group.  Here are a couple pics of my more rational moments on the run.

Great day to get out of the fog and gloom of the valley below. Fog makes me shake.
